ABOUT TACK eg

TACK is a Northern California design firm providing consulting services in Architecture Concepts and Experiential Graphics. Our design process follows the same rigors as architectural design services, but with an applied methodology in budgeting and pricing at various stages in the process. Through partnerships with Architects, Fabricators, and Installers, TACK is uniquely positioned to provide added value to a graphics program in several key ways.

At the Schematic Design phase TACK performs a Graphics Cost Analysis to ensure as we move through further design phases, the designed product will be within the desired budget.

Early in the Construction Document phase TACK routinely determines any structural, electrical, or other required detailing with the assistance of partnered fabricators. This allows for the design team to have a clearer understanding of the necessary Architectural, Structural, or Electrical services that need to be identified and incorporated within the documentation of the various disciplines.

At the Bidding and Negotiation phase TACK can provide a quotation to furnish and install the program through our network of fabrication and installation partners. This quotation can then either be executed by the General Contractor, or we can engage in a contract directly with ownership.

Upon completion there are invariably reorders or additions to a graphics program. Our methodology is geared to the longstanding relationship and intended to address the ongoing needs of our clients.

I would like to take the opportunity to recognize the workmanship, creativity, and leadership that Victor Vitale with TACK eg has provided for the Ohlone Community College District Parking Structure.

The project required multiple graphics be painted on various elements of the parking structure, including beams, columns, and walls. Some of these graphics were created with stencils, while others were created by projecting an image onto the garage’s structural components, causing a graphic to appear at a given perspective. The creativity and craftsmanship needed to complete both types of graphics, particularly the latter, should not go unnoticed. Victor is a true visionary and his ingenuity is reflected in his work.

Additionally, the project would not have been such a success without the leadership and direction provided by Victor. Victor was engaged with Overaa and the Architect throughout all stages of the process, ensuring his work met the design intent. He constantly communicated with Overaa to aptly coordinate his work, and met all schedule obligations in a professional and effective manner. The leadership he demonstrated in coordinating his work helped make the project successful.

I am happy to say that I have received multiple compliments from the owner regarding TACK’s craftsmanship. They are a great asset to any project, and it is my pleasure to recommend them for any future work.

The design for our major elements provided us with the vision and the branding that we were seeking, and the execution was precisely as conveyed in the design.
